TOWSON, Md.: Chris Ferguson threw a couple of landing passes and Towson held off Stony Brook for a 21-14 victory on Saturday.
The Tigers (2-3, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Convention) have been about to tug away when Ferguson finished a 7-yard go to Jason Epps, however Epps fumbled the ball simply prior to crossing the objective line, turning the ball over to Stony Brook (1-5, 0-3). The Seawolves’ Ty Son Lawton then broke unfastened on a 41-yard landing run at the resulting sequence that capped the scoring with 7:32 to play.

Lawton completed with 119 yards dashing on 19 carries. Fields used to be 20-of-30 passing for 220 yards.
