“I gave him the language. He came back a little while later and said, ‘But we want to pay for abortions.’ I said, ‘Mr. Chairman, that’s — we disagree. We don’t do it now, we’re not going to start.’

“‘But we think should,’” Stupak said Waxman told him.

“I said, ‘Well, I’m sorry but the House has spoken. We had that debate. We won 240-190. You forced the vote, a vote we won fair and square and we’re not gonna, this is what it is. If you want to move health care keep current law,’” Stupak continued.

You see, no matter what The Hyde Amendment says, Waxman wants to have Federal Funding, aka, our tax dollars, to go to pay for abortions.  For those of you unfamiliar with The Hyde Amendment, here it is as presented by the ACLU.

Henry Waxman’s words to Stupak will come back to haunt the Democrats, I can assure you.  Why would any pro-Life Democrats wish to put their seal of approval and vote for such an atrocity?  While I do  not endorse nor support the Democrat Party as a whole, I do admire these Democrats who are pro-Life and who are making a stand.  At the end of the day, the unborn are being protected, and who am I to question who does it and with what method?

Oh, but wait, there’s more!  While the HC Bill in question does not repeal The Hyde Amendment, it does offer this little gem:

However, under the Senate plan, anyone who buys insurance through the exchange will see $1 of his or her premium go toward reproductive health care, including abortion. Weiner said it is not the case that abortion service providers will get any of that premium money.

Hmmm.  So, let me see if I have this right.  No Federal monies are to be used for abortions as detailed by The Hyde Amendment, but, *ahem*, there is money being taken from the proposed new insurance exchange premiums that will go to some magical abortion slush fund, even thought it doesn’t really exist…?

Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., a liberal Democrat who says he wants federal funding for abortion, told Fox News that the Senate bill changes nothing about the “Hyde amendment,” which is decades-old law preventing taxpayer money from being used to pay for abortion except in cases of rape, incest or injury to the mother.

“We have the Hyde amendment that has been in place for a generation. I’m not crazy about it but it says there should be no federal funding for abortions. That’s the law as we sit here and that’ll be the law after health care passes,” Weiner said.

“What Congressman Stupak is saying is simply because an insurance policy is in that exchange somehow it’s getting federal dollars. That’s not the case. The fact is each individual person will be told that if they want to get an abortion they are not going to be able to use any subsidy, any plan that’s provided by the federal government to do that,” Weiner said.

“Congressman Stupak wants to go far beyond that and say anyone that offers insurance that is going to be in this exchange to even offer the services, it can’t even be in there, even though it gets zero federal dollars. That’s going much too far,” he said.

Now, I saw this dialogue on FOX News myself.  Rep. Weiner told Megyn Kelly himself that he and his staff hadn’t really seen the Bill to go over it.  And Rep. Weiner, you do know that The Hyde Amendment is from 1976.  It’s hardly been in place for “generations”.

Hmmm, again.

Hot Air: Younger voters trending pro-Life

When I first saw this report on Jill Stanek’s blog I almost choked up my coffee. I followed the link to the Press Telegram UK news report and wanted to weep as I read about the Swiss company who is making smaller-sized condoms especially for 12-year-old little boys.

Hotshots: that is what they are called. Hotshots. It’s not bad enough that they are making condoms for little boys; they are calling the Hotshots. It kind of reminds me of the Joe Camel marketing campaign; let’s make these look cool to little boys.

My oldest daughter will be 11 in just a couple of months and to know that they are now making and marketing condoms for boys in her age range makes me want to renounce my non-violent ways. I know for a fact if my son at age 12 was sold a condom, I would probably be thrown in jail for breaking someone’s face.

I am not trying to be funny with how I am reacting, I am furious. How much further are we going to let governments, Planned Parenthood and the Godless liberal media go in corrupting children? Planned Parenthood is already trying to force their brand of “sex education” on the world’s children and distort nature at every turn.

Eight years ago I was at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics eating in a Carl’s Jr. with some other pro-lifers and friends. My friend’s 10-year-old son walked up to get some ketchup and a Red Cross worker in uniform walked up to him and offered him a small package. I jumped up immediately as I already knew what this package was: a kit from Planned Parenthood with chocolate-, strawberry- and banana-flavored condoms and lubricants. I caused a major scene in that restaurant and got the Red Cross worker kicked out after I put a little fear of God into him. He may have had to go change his pants after the scolding I gave him.

While this Hotshot condom is not available in the U.S. yet, we need to be diligent in watching out for this kind of garbage. I would go as far as calling this child abuse; to encourage young kids into sexual activity by equipping and enabling them is nothing short of abuse. When Planned Parenthood wants to fight for the rights of children as young as age 11 to have the right to be sexually active, our government should be prosecuting them diligently; instead we just give them hundreds of million of dollars a year.

Nysse Norballe, a spokesman for the company, said: “At the moment we are only producing the Hotshot in Switzerland. But the UK is certainly a very attractive market since there is a very high rate of underage conception. The UK would definitely be top priority if we marketed abroad.” If the UK gets them it is only a matter of time before they end up in America, and we must not allow that to happen.

The company talked about a study that showed more 12- to 14-year-olds were having sex (in comparison with the 1990s). HMMMMMMMM: I wonder why? Because we are allowing organizations like Planned Parenthood and our governments to sexualize our children. Maybe if we stopped allowing Hollywood, the fashion industry, the music industry, Planned Parenthood and the government raise our raise our children we could…

Oh, why am I talking such nonsense? We all know kids are just animals with no self-control. My wife must be an alien since I am the only man she has ever kissed in her life and she was a virgin when we got married. Who are we kidding thinking that by raising our children with Godly values they might just show some self control and remain pure? I might as well just send them off to Planned Parenthood Summer Camp this summer and let the real experts teach them how to behave.

A New Jersey man charged in Yemen as an Al Qaeda member worked at nuclear power plants in the U.S., officials said Thursday.

Sharif Mobley, a 26-year-old American native of Somali heritage, was arrested in Yemen this month in a roundup of suspected Al Qaeda members.

He was being treated at a hospital in San’a when he killed one guard and wounded another in an escape attempt, officials said.

Before Mobley moved to Yemen two years ago, ostensibly to learn Arabic and study the Koran, he worked for several contractors at three nuclear power plants in New Jersey from 2002 to 2008, PSE&G Nuclear spokesman Joe Delmar said.

Hot Air says:

But did AQ intend to attack nuclear power plants in the US with Mobley as its point person?  Fox News reports that their sources in “law enforcement” don’t see a link between his work before leaving the country and whatever AQ had in mind when it sent him back.  It could just be coincidental, as a trip toYemen to study Islam and Arabic would almost certainly have raised red flags in a recertification process.  Mobley may have been more valuable in supplying intel on security procedures rather than as a terrorist attacker.

The list of Americans involved or charged with being involved with Al-Qaida are so far:

Gadahn, Al-Awalki, Hammami, Hasan, Zazi, Lindh, Boyd, and LaRose.

Sharif Mobley is the latest example of what anti-terrorism experts fear is a growing trend: the radicalization of American Muslims who join overseas terrorist groups.

Yemeni groups are of special concern, as are Somali-Americans.

The Al Qaeda branch in Yemen was linked to the failed Christmas Day bombing of a Detroit-bound airliner. Maj. Nidal Hasan, the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people in the Fort Hood shooting spree, exchanged e-mails with an extremist cleric in Yemen.

“Both Mrs. Reid and Lana are conscious, can feel their extremities, and according to doctors their injuries are non-life-threatening,” he added.

Putting politics aside, as well we should when things like this happen, I wish to extend my best wishes and prayers to Harry Reid and his family right now.  I will also add that I have had the displeasure of reading several comments, from people who espouse both Christianity and Conservatism, that were hateful, mocking, and downright rude.

If we act like our opponents, then where is our credibility?  We are better than this.   You don’t have to be a Christian to show proper manners, folks.

The House Democrats will use the “Slaughter Solution” to pass Obamacare without a vote on Senate bill. WITHOUT A BILL. This corrupt government has spit and defecated on our Constitution. Think of the millions of Americans who have given their lives to defend that Constitution. The Marxist Democrat Party is poised to steal our country!!!

“I think that there is a real shot we are going to get slaughtered in elections this fall if we aren’t leading the efforts to reform Washington.  We campaigned in ‘06 and ‘08, and if voters don’t see that change, we haven’t lived up to that promise.”

Hildebrand made these comments to CNN.

Although Hildebrand was part of the 2008 campaign, he did not take any positions in Obama’s White House.  His current focus is pushing Congress to get an outside watchdog agency to attend to ethics violations, and had even met with David Axelrod to speak about such a push.  He really wants Democrats to do more in relation to this.

“We went after that culture of corruption, and I don’t believe there is a culture of corruption, but I do believe there is an image problem that Washington in general has to deal with.  And Democrats are in trouble now and if they don’t do anything.”

Um, sorry Steve, but have you been keeping track of who’s having ethics probes being done on them recently?

According to Megyn Kelly on FOX News “America Live”, the House just voted 402-1, with 15 lawmakers voting present, to go forward with an Ethics Committee investigation into what Pelosi did and didn’t know about Massa and his indiscretions.  Steny Hoyer is also being looked into.

The Daily Caller spoke in great detail about this yesterday:

House Republicans are considering whether to ask Thursday for the Ethics Committee to investigate House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer for their handling of information about misbehavior by former Rep. Eric Massa, who resigned Monday for sexually harassing male staffers.

Democratic aides scoffed late Wednesday at the idea, saying Pelosi and Hoyer acted properly and there are no grounds for an investigation.

But Republicans want to know why Pelosi was not told earlier of allegations that Massa groped his aides. The speaker’s staff learned of Massa’s misbehavior from Hoyer’s staff in early February, and did not inform her until early March, Pelosi told reporters last week.

A Pelosi aide also told The Daily Caller late Wednesday that her office was informed in October by Massa’s chief of staff, Joe Racolto, of concerns that the congressman was living with a number of male staffers, that he had hired too many staff, and that he was using profanity around them.

According to Newsmax:

Brooklyn Judge Nina Gershon on Wednesday rejected a government request to reconsider last year’s ruling declaring the cutoff of funding unconstitutional. She also ordered the government to notify all federal agencies that provisions passed by Congress to block funding have been declared unconstitutional.

The judge says ACORN was punished by Congress without the enactment of administrative processes to decide if money had been handled inappropriately.

When this story broke on Wednesday the 10th, the Government had said it will review the judge’s ruling.

Apparently ACORN is running out of our money, and needs to find a quicker way than having bake sales to get some cash flowing again.

Under Charles Schumer’s, D-NY and Lindsey Graham, R-SC, idiotic plan you will required to obtain a national ID card.  Schumer claims that this card would,

“It’s the nub of solving the immigration dilemma politically speaking,” Mr. Schumer said in an interview. The card, he said, would directly answer concerns that after legislation is signed, another wave of illegal immigrants would arrive. “If you say they can’t get a job when they come here, you’ll stop it.”

Yet there are some major objections to this idea.  Those objections come from privacy advocates, who rightly fear the cards would then become a de facto national ID cards which would than enable the national government to track citizens.  That fear is born out in many dictatorial countries where internal passports are required for movement within a country’s borders.

“It is fundamentally a massive invasion of people’s privacy,” said Chris Calabrese, legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union. “We’re not only talking about fingerprinting every American, treating ordinary Americans like criminals in order to work. We’re also talking about a card that would quickly spread from work to voting to travel to pretty much every aspect of American life that requires identification.”

U.S. employers now are supposed to use an online system, E-Verify where employers may verify whether potential hirees are legal US residents. Republicans have pushed legislation that would make this system mandatory mandatory one, but the Democratic Party has resisted those efforts, preferring to institute an internal passport system.

It appears that after the Democrats ram through health care, they plan an immigration overhaul.  This is a serious problem that has long proven to be a political ditch. The liberal wing of the Hispanic community has long pressed for a new amnesty on all those presently residing in the US and will be very angry if this measure is put off again. But a solid majority of Americans firmly oppose any legislation that includes amnesty for those who entered the country illegally.  That majority includes many conservative Hispanics, such as Al Garza who formed the Patriots Coalition.   But,

Under the legislation envisioned by Messrs. Graham and Schumer, the estimated 10.8 million people living illegally in the U.S. would be offered a path to citizenship, though they would have to register, pay taxes, pay a fine and wait in line. A guest-worker program would let a set number of new foreigners come to the U.S. legally to work.

Keep in mind with an official unemployment rate that is near 10%  and has been for many months, and an U6 rate that is well above 20%, these are people who are holding jobs that many now desperate citizens and legal residents could and would be doing.  Yet this bill would grant them near instant citizenship, well ahead of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people who have followed the laws of the United States and are still waiting to get visas, much less residency.

Even better is the requirement that employers will be forced to purchase a scanner to use the card.

Mr. Schumer said employers would be able to buy a scanner to check the IDs for as much as $800. Small employers, he said, could take their applicants to a government office to like the Department of Motor Vehicles and have their hands scanned there.

Now the question is…follow the money.  What company will produce this $800.00 scanner and WHERE is this company located?  That is, I think, an important question that must be answered.

Another worrisome question is, how soon will it be before,

It’s the natural evolution of the policy called “internal enforcement” of immigration law, as I wrote in my paper, “Franz Kafka’s Solution to Illegal Immigration.”  Once in place, watch for this national ID to regulate access to financial services, housing, medical care and prescriptions—and, of course, serve as an internal passport.

Speaking Tuesday to the 2010 Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties, Pelosi began with her typical healthcare pitch, and how it reached its current state.

Many believe Nancy Pelosi is a melting robot sent from a communist future to destroy America; I just think she is a nutty old woman with an inability to tell the truth, unless by accident.

We live in a unique era where old politicians like Pelosi think they can say things like this and the public won’t find out. Most of the current politicians are too old to understand YouTube and cell phone cameras. It makes for amazing transparency, although sometimes scary.

Where’s Jon Stewart poking fun here? This is pure “genius”.
