“Everybody Draw Mohammed Day”: May 20th: Your threats apparently backfired

Well, well, well…what did they really expect?

As I stated before in a previous post, This is America.  We can be loving.  We can be forgiving.  We can be welcoming.  And on May 20th, we will be challenging.  We will be challenging the Muslim extremists who seek to hold our Nation hostage through their cowardly words of retribution towards Americans, should those Americans draw their prophet, Mohammed.  Fah.

You cannot threaten, coerce, intimidate, or force anything on us.  And you darn sure cannot force us to fear your god, or you, because you’ll blow us up or employ some other cowardly act to show your obedience to a false god.

In a direct response to this whole issue surrounding South Park, Comedy Central, and CC’s wussiness, a new movement has sprung up:

Everybody Draw Mohammed Day, slated for 20 May 2010.

Here’s my take on it all: IF your prophet or god is so powerful and angry and looking to force all of the world to obey your twisted and bastardized version of Sharia Law, then bring it.  I, for one, am very unafraid.  Millions of us, as free Americans, as Christian Americans who worship the Judeo-Christian God of the Universe, are unafraid of you.  And millions of us, as agnostic and atheist Americans are unafraid of you.  Do you get what I’m saying here?  (ahem) We are UNAFRAID of you.

You are only as strong as your god.  So, bring it.  And, to any Islamic fascists who may be reading this, don’t you ever, EVER think you can intimidate us again.  911 was nothing but luck for you fanatics.  You won’t be so lucky next time, because we are now watching the whole of Islam to seek out and find the rotten little piglets that you are who hide behind the “religion of peace” banner, and have liberals who will defend and protect you from punishment when caught.

So on May 20th, many of us will be participating in the Everybody Draw Mohammed Day here in America.  God bless America.  (And I don’t mean “Allah”.  I mean THE God of the Universe, the One True God.  The Living God of Israel.)

  5. All I hear is a lot of blah blah blah.

And this is not because you people are”muslims”. (I highly doubt it.) No, it is because you cannot spell, punctuate, or illustrate a point. I would rather listen to a 3-year old explain the plot of The Sound of Music to me.

Don’t ever presume upon or encroach upon our spirit as Americans.

  6. Danielle Mincy says:

I am an american born muslim convert. I understan the issue with extremists of ALL religions. But just as with the bible or quran NO 1 is supposed to have pictures of jesus( prophet isa) or prophet mohammad. I’m not hear to preach or argue. I know what the bible says and the quran. Their some of us with all religions that will adhere to it more than others. We are not perfect and all lose our temper, as a muslim i will not argue about my religion is better than someone elses. Why because Allah(GOD) says not to. Allah is just the arabic word for God, yes i do worship the same God as do the jewish and christians.

  7. Danielle,
Thank you for your honesty! However, I must disagree about the “I do worship the same God as do the jewish and christians.” comment. Not for nothing, but Jesus and Islam are completely at odds with one another, and since I believe that God is the Father of Jesus, and is Jesus, I must disagree, respectfully, with what you said. We worship differently.
However, thank you for stopping by! Your comments are appreciated!

  9. Bob says:

    Donald,

I am a Christian — and have been, for my entire life. I understand your frustration with Muslim *extremists*, but you paint with too broad a brush. We *DO* worship the same God, so long as you refer to God, the Father, in Christianity.

As for Jesus being completely at odds with Islam is concerned, that is not true. While it *is* true that Muslims see Jesus differently than Christians, most Christians would be surprised at how *similarly* they see Him. The Koran teaches Muslims that Jesus more more special than anyone else (including Muhammad) who has ever walked the Earth — including the virgin birth!

Jews, Muslims, and Christians have much common ground. Why bait, taunt, and kill one another over our differences? Besides, even if one does not believe that Muhammad was a prophet, there can be no doubt that he was an extraordinarily strong believer in God. To disparage him and believers in his teaching with childish, sophomoric cartoons casts a negative light on all who participate.

Jesus would most definitely NOT have approved of such activity. One can only hope that most Muslim onlookers will remember Jesus’ teachings of forgiveness.

    Go in peace.

  10. @Bob,

If Islam does not teach that Jesus is the Son of God and is not the Way, Truth, and Life and only through Him may anyone enter Heaven, then Islam has nothing to do with the real Jesus. Nice try, Bob. Your mentality smacks of compromise and leniency when the very souls of men and women hang in the balance, simply because you refuse to draw the hard line in the sand that separates the Truth from feelings and emotion.

You say you have been a Christian “..for (your) entire life”? Really? Wow.

The Scriptures are The Truth, Bob. Like it or not, Islam and Jesus have nothing to do with one another. Muslims do not go to Heaven. Jesus is the only “door” to Heaven, Bob. To be a Christian and believe otherwise is simply foolish and ignorant.

    Donald Borsch Jr.
    Jesus is LORD.

  11. As an atheist, I find disagreement with all. In fact, if anyone bothered to study the origins of the principle Western religions, they would find that they all go back to animism, nature worship, and the such, that migrated from the Siberian Steppes during neolithic times.

In short, Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship different gods. All you have to do is to examine how each of these gods are interpreted by their followers. Like a tree, different branches grow from a common trunk. From the branches, little twigs grow, each a little different.

I love each and every one of you, so I have no problem with different religions. Just don’t try to kill me because I happen to disagree with you!

    Marv

  12. @Marv,

No fear of me seeking to kill you because we disagree! Contrary to what the media would say, Jesus never told His followers to kill non-believers. So, as far as I am concerned, Marv, you are safe from me! :)

Needless to say, we do disagree. However, I did like how you said that people should examine each of these “gods” and learn how their followers interpret them. That was an astute and wise comment.

Thanks for commenting here at PIN, Marv. No matter how PIN may come across to folks, allow me to say you are always welcome here, as courtesy begets courtesy, always.

Let everyone believe what they want to believe. Maybe then there would be peace like all different Gods (Muslim, Jewish, Christian, etc.) want to achieve, I’m sure.
