Illegal is illegal.  Period.

It is not about race, religion, socio-economic status, political affiliation, or the choice of socks to wear.  It is about what is legal and what is illegal.

However, the Leftists would beg to differ, and would seek to confuse and cloud the issue with heart-string rhetoric and victim-mentality clamoring.

I had mentioned before that if the Right thought it was bad being vilified as “racists” due to their dissent regarding Health Care, then they ain’t seen nothin’ yet.  Now that Obama is gearing up to fundamentally transform America in regards to allowing complete amnesty and hugs, rainbows, unicorns, and happy-happies to illegal aliens, the “RACIST!” card is going to be played again and again and again.

Arizona is seeking to implement the toughest Immigration Enforcement Bill in history.  Needless to say, it is making the illegals and their advocates none too happy.  Strike up the rallies!  Let loose the protests!  We are here illegally and Obama needs to give us amnesty, or we won’t vote Democrat ever again!

An Arizona bill that would impose some of the toughest immigration laws in the country is generating a storm of controversy nationwide as it tracks toward the governor’s desk.

The Arizona Senate voted Monday to approve the final version of the bill, which was voted up on a party-line vote by the state House last Tuesday. If it’s signed by Gov. Jan Brewer, it would give police in the state broad new powers to arrest and charge people suspected of being in the country illegally.

The legislation has attracted widespread attention, with some accusing the state of sanctioning a racial profiling program that flies in the face of residents’ civil rights.

Oh, but wait for the Nazi reference.  It’s soon coming, and look!, here it is:

Most recently, the head of the nation’s largest archdiocese said the bill would encourage “German Nazi and Russian Communist techniques.”

Cardinal Roger Mahony, who heads the Los Angeles archdiocese, made the comments in his blog Sunday, a day before the Arizona Legislature passed the bill.

Seriously?  So it is Naziism to say, “Listen, if you are here illegally, that is against the Law and you need to be caught and charged and sent home.  Try again, later, legally this time, if you don’t mind.”?  Wow.  How far have we fallen as rational human beings to jump to such accusations at the first sign of wanting to enforce American Law?  (Don’t answer that.)

The bill contains several provisions. Among them, it would create a new state misdemeanor crime for failing to carry alien registration documents; allow officers to arrest immigrants unable to show documents proving their legal residence; allow people to sue if they feel a government agency has adopted a policy that hinders immigration enforcement; prohibit people from blocking traffic when they seek or offer day labor services on street corners; and make it illegal for people to knowingly transport illegal immigrants.

Okay, so, it would be rendered illegal for a legal alien to not have their papers with them, as proof of their permission to be here in our Nation?  Wow!  Such racism!  Such oppression!  Someone call the ACLU, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Gloria Estefan, and MSNBC!  We have us a story here to use against those evil people who want to enforce a Law!!  The audacity, the horror!

Arizona state Sen. Russell Pearce, who is sponsoring the measure, dismissed claims that the bill would lead to arbitrary profiling and said the bill is needed to help Arizona deal with rampant crime. He cited the recent killing of local rancher Robert Krentz by a suspected illegal immigrant.

“When do we stand up for Americans and America? Enough is enough,” he told Fox News on Tuesday. “Arizona has become ground zero. We’re number two in the world in kidnapping. … We’re not taking it anymore. We’re going to enforce our laws, with compassion.”

This issue is not going to go away.  At last estimate, America has 12 million illegals here now.

I just hope this issue will not tear the Nation apart, as it could easily be fanned into a firestorm of epic proportions.
