From USA Today:

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., is putting wavering Democrats on advance notice: If President Obama is trying to reassure any of them of future federal employment in return for coming over to his side on health care, fuggedaboutit.

Coburn just told reporters he’ll use his senatorial perogative to block the nominations of any lawmakers who change their votes from “no” to “yes” on health care should the president subsequently tap them for a federal post. Just in case any of them are considering that an option should things not work out for them in the November elections.

Ouch!

Oh, but it’s not over yet.  Stepping up to the plate of public accountability is Rep. Paul Broun, (R-GA), never having been a huge fan of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, chiming in with:

“I have three simple questions for Ms. Pelosi:

Are you so arrogant that you think you know what’s best for the American people?  Are you so ignorant that you’re oblivious to the wishes of the American people?  And are you so incompetent, that you’re going to ignore the Constitution of the United States, use tricks, deceptions, bald-faced lies, to try to ram down the throat of the American people something that they do not want and it’s going to be absolutely worse for their health care?”

Broun’s questions were first uttered on America Live, with Megyn Kelly, on FOX News.

I for one believe it is about time that people from the inside, like these two GOP’ers, finally say such things out loud to the American people.  Trust me, we’re thinking the same things, guys.  I’m still not a huge GOP fan, but…hey, truth is truth.
