Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) is facing some bad news tonight. His wife and dughter were involved in a car accident this afternoon, and have both been taken to the hospital. His wife, Landra, suffered a broken neck and back and also a broken nose. His daughter, Lana, fared better and has facial lacerations.
As reported by The Hill:
“Both Mrs. Reid and Lana are conscious, can feel their extremities, and according to doctors their injuries are non-life-threatening,” he added.
Putting politics aside, as well we should when things like this happen, I wish to extend my best wishes and prayers to Harry Reid and his family right now. I will also add that I have had the displeasure of reading several comments, from people who espouse both Christianity and Conservatism, that were hateful, mocking, and downright rude.
If we act like our opponents, then where is our credibility? We are better than this. You don’t have to be a Christian to show proper manners, folks.
While I do not agree with Harry Reid on many issues I would like to extend my prayers for his wife and daughter’s swift recovery.
