Jason Mattera is the author of Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation, and he talked to Fox News recently…and even did combat with an Obama Zombie on live television.

One of the things Mattera talks about is how difficult it is for liberals to sell socialism to mature Americans who have been around long enough and dealt with the real world long enough to realize socialism is a dead end street paved with broken dreams.

But it isn’t so hard to sell it to spoiled “brats who are high on Mary Jane, downloading porn from their dorm room, waiting for Barack Obama to deliver them a strawberry-scented welfare check.”

And with those opening words, Bob Ellis at Dakota Voice opens up his commentary on Jason Mattera’s awesome book.  Michelle Malkin also endorses this great read.  At the Dakota Voice link, there is also a video worth watching.

Now, I am hardly a “mature American”.  I’m actually going on 42 this year, thank you very much.  Yet even at this age, I see a huge, huge difference between my peers and the youth of today in their early to mid- 20′s.  I don’t understand their culture, their laziness, their “entitlement” mentality.  (Is this how my parents viewed my generation?  Gads, I hope not!  No wonder they looked at me like I was insane!)

The key to any good takeover or dismantling of a Nation is always found in the youth.  Always.  If you can sway the youth to endorse your mindsets through rewards, candy, free beer and weed, and the permission to behave however they wish with no accountability, you have won them over.  Colleges and other ‘higher education’ outlets are easy, easy targets and highly focus-enriched battlefields.  All you need to do is play upon the old tried and true, “Your parents don’t understand” mantra, and the imbecilic youth of the public school system will be eating out of your hand.

While it is true that the more mature Americans in or great Nation do remember life growing up that was harder than it is today, (from a technological standpoint), they are hardly to be so easily dismissed.  The truths and lessons they taught some of us have taken root in our spirits and in our Patriotic hearts.  I am hardly concerned with some 20-something snot-nosed weak man-child who still lives at home and has never held a real job as being a viable contender to challenge me intellectually, spiritually, or logically.  How could they?

But Obama is no dummy.  He will seduce these weak-minded fools and feed them lie upon lie to corrupt their already sensitive Oprah-watching psyches.  It is psychological warfare at its best, let me tell ya.  In our culture, with the lack of Fathers who would discipline their children accordingly, Obama has the ability and opening to come to them as a twisted sort of “Father figure”, and the youth of today will always respond to this.  Always.

Like any good zombie-oriented horror movie, there will be the remnant of humans who will fight to the end for the survival of their species.

The Conservative Movement is indeed that remnant.

I quick examination of the loci of the Democratic base shows it is in the cities. Given that the public schools in the cities are disaster areas with graduation rates sometimes falling below 50% it is not surprising that Democrats are poorly educated, refuse to take responsibility for their actions, and parasitic.

  2. My personal opinion:
While the author is right with regard to the fierce use of Alinky’s “Rules for Radicals” by Lefterasts (sorry, I can’t use words with the root “Liberty” in regard to that ilk of so-called “progressives”), I think he is wrong assigning the brainwashing to the Obama’s socialist machine.
That kind of brainwashing started by “Ten Days that Shook the World” (1919) written by American socialist John Reed about the October Revolution in Russia in 1917. Then it was reinforced and “energized” by Stalin’s Directive to the NKVD in 1929 that ordered a mass penetration of Communist agents into the USA political and economical systems (Saul Alinsky, Julius and Ethel Rosenbergs, Alger Hiss, the FDR Secretary, to name just a few).
Then the mass anti-Capitalist, anti-American movements of Beatniks (late 50s-mid 60s), hippies (mid 60s – 70s), punks (mid 70s) and other riff-raff were well-thought-out “tools” of destroying American and European Capitalism and of irreversible brainwashing of the people, built on the Marxist ideology of “we are owed” and “freebies.”
Had Jason Mattera included a detailed excursion into the historical domain, his book could be priceless.

Constantine is 100% right, but I would emphasize the cultural problem called “dumbing down”. Why are the “yutes” drawn to such crap as MTV? Why have they developed an appetite for crap? What are their parents listening to and watching? It all comes down to the fact that if parents don’t sow seeds in a vacant lot, the only thing to grow are weeds.

  4. “Out of all arts, the most important one for us, Bolsheviks, is cinema,” said Lenin (in words by Klara Tsetkin.)
Bolsheviks ALWAYS appealed to the basest, plebeian needs of the rabble, known from Ancient Rome times: panem et circenses! (Latin for “bread and circuses”).
It was always the “constituency” (sorry for this euphemism in regard to Commies who were never elected, except the KenyanAmerican-in-Chief) of Marxists.
Hence, the “culture” of MTV – particularly, the level thereof, which is, to my humble opinion, below the ocean floor) – and, in general, of the entire mass culture is exactly “adjusted” to the audience, in order to keep that audience in an undisturbed brainless mental condition, so that their condition won’t affect the illusion of democracy during the next election cycle.
Sorry if someone finds my words too bitter.

  5. A reader linked me to this noticing that you posted the motivator I created. Awesome!

I’m about half-way through Mattera’s book…it’s both fascinating and frightening.

    Keep up the good work.
