On Wednesday, a day after the incredible win by Scott Brown of the Senate seat previously held for over 40 years by Ted Kennedy, Obama signed a directive that is supposed to stop government contracts from going to tax-delinquent companies. “We need to insist on the same sense of responsibility in Washington that so many of you strive to uphold in your own lives, in your own families and in your own businesses,” Obama said.  So what about all the tax cheats in his own administration and in Congress?   For example, Tim Geitner, Kathleen Sebelius, Ron Kirk and the list gets longer if you include the ones who withdrew their nomination after tax problems and ethical problems arose.  Now in Congress, we have Representative Charlie Rangel who is under investigation for tax evasion and he is Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee which is responsible for writing the tax laws.

Along with this directive, President Obama wants to gain back support of the American people by taxing large banks, many of which have already repaid with interest,  money lent to them by the federal government.  Only AIG, General Motors Co., Chrysler LLC, Freddie Mac and Fannie May are excluded from this tax and will not be required to pay back the money they took.  Obama’s rallying cry is to call bankers fat cats, scold them for paying themselves bonuses and he called on them to do the right thing and not pass the cost on to the American people.  Isn’t it funny how he wants to label the banks as fat cats who should not get bonuses or pass their increased cost to us, but it is okay to increase the pay of those in the federal government and propose spending that would impose a tax on us.

Now President Obama is continuing this crusade against the financial industry by announcing proposed new restrictions on the size and scope of financial institutions so the government can limit their ability to engage in risky trading practices.  Obama stood with with Representative Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd when he made this announcement. “We should no longer allow banks to stray too far from their central mission of serving their customers,” said Obama. “In recent years, too many financial firms have put taxpayer money at risk by operating hedge funds and private equity funds and making riskier investments to reap a quick reward. And these firms have taken these risks while benefiting from special financial privileges that are reserved only for banks.”  Barney Frank is the House Financial Services Committee Chairman and helped orchestrate the low lending standards that caused the housing market collapse.  Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee which regulates mortgage lending, received preferential treatment in his mortgage loans from Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo.  Our President wants to require banks to do what he does not require the federal government to do.

Obama’s poll numbers are way down, he suffered a blow with the election of Brown to the Senate, so he wants to get the people on his side by making them angry and mad at the banking industry.  He has seen it work in the past, so why not now. Obama is like the magician who wants you to look at his right hand, so you don’t see what he is doing with his left hand.  Look over here at what we are doing to the fat cats on Wall Street so you don’t see that we are still pushing our agenda on health-care, cap and trade, stimulus spending, raising taxes and increasing the federal deficit by raising the debt limit.

Obama’s ego and arrogance is so large that even with low approval numbers and Americans clearly sending a message of stop the madness, he is going to do what he wants to do.  Remember, he is the President who told top House and Senate Republicans who voiced concern over his stimulus bill, “I won”.  That explains everything about this man.  He doesn’t care about what may be right or wrong for the American people, we need to listen to him and do what he wants because, he won.

I have heard the saying “We had to elect a Carter to get a Reagan”.  But I would take it further now.  We had to have a King George III to start a revolution.  That is what is taking place in our country right now.  People are fed up and it took the election of Obama and the direction he and Congress are trying to take this country that have rallied us.  Let us move forward with the knowledge of who we are dealing with here, the ability to see through their smoke and mirrors and the will to hold onto our resolve to remedy this in the elections this November and in 2012.

  2. As a descendant of Alexander Hamilton, I share the same concerns that he [Alexander Hamilton] did in his Federalist Papers. Hamilton was responsible for establishing the banking system in America, based on the approach of checks and balance system that no longer exists in America. And unfortunately, the greed of the individuals who operate the banking system has perverted the banking system to the point that many people no longer have any confidence in its ability to be competent with financial matters. This has also spilled over into the financial sector of the Wall Street Markets. Through ingenious manipulation and the total loss of morality, insider trading and ponzi schemes became the new norm. Millions of people lost their entire life savings. And the Banking System that was supposed to protect people and their investments failed; they grew wealthier, patting themselves on the back for their cleverness and ingenuity, while the investors are forced into bankruptcy. What used to be sealed by a friendly handshake has been replaced with a lack of sympathy and rejection. America in deed is returning to the very core of the problem that our ancestors faced with the tyranny of a King and country. Once again, We The People are left without Representation; the majority of representatives in Congress now serve their own best interests or the good of their party, and get behind policies that have the greatest amount of attention and probability for passage. All the while, these policies inflict more punishment on We The People in the form of an insurmountable national debt, and taxes which no longer provide for the common good of the people. The drums and fifes of Civil War are looming on the horizon. Perhaps this is one of the greatest political strategies of all time; a house divided amongst itself, can not stand. And a divided house falls easy prey to the orchestrators of this demise.

Chicago on the Patomic. Reason for this: our current President works for the same boss as our last 2 or 3 presidents. America! We are smart enough to know that what they promise us, is impossible! And May America NEVER again flirt with the ILL NOTION that there could ever be Liberty, Justice, OR Freedom UNDER government!

  4. Stefani Smirnes says:

We need to be thankful for the wake up call and move dramatically and continually to expose and make others aware of what this administration is up to. While President Obama is waving his right hand, we need to be watching his left and shouting out our observations.

If those responsible citizens in America who fear their liberties will be affected by this administrations policies do not speak up, stand up and resist these radical changes that are deviating the course of our United State of America, we will only have ourselves to blame.

There was a war fought here, the Civil War, and it was fought so that all men would be considered EQUAL, and all people here are at liberty to pursue their dreams and to have a life. The days of serfdom and slavery are over in the USA, but I believe that if we allow for these usurpers of our freedoms to continue in the dismantling of our Constitution, we will forever be subjugated to an America that I can not even imagine.

It is my hope that our President will be able to read the writing on the wall, that his advisors will be able to read the writing on the wall and realize that the majority of Americans are not on board with them and move back to the middle. Moderation in all things. Many things are needed but this administrations plan of pursuit is not supported.

Mr. Obama, you have the opportunity to make history as the first black American to hold the office. It behooves you to listen to the people. It was the people who elected you to serve us. The masses are speaking, the masses have come to your door, we are shouting and we are VOTING. The American people have been awakened. We are not the simple minded “takers” that you may have believed we were.

Real Americans have had their nose to the grindstone, earning a living, feeding their families and trying to enjoy their lives. They have managed on their salaries and lived within their means.

It was beyond my comprehension that our leaders stood before us and explained how these crooks had put our entire economy in jeopardy. That either Barney Frank or Chris Dodd have the audacity to even open their CROOK mouths boggles my mind.

The reasons for today’s revolution actually started back when G.W.B. and Republican Congress were elected as conservatives and then proceeded to act like Democrats running up the dedicit with new social spending like “No Child Left Behind” and expansion of Medicare. Not to mention, not only was illegal imigration ignored, the very people with authority to enforce our immigration laws were being criminally prosecuted for doing their jobs. Out of frustration we turned to the one (Obama) who told us what we wanted to hear. Now, his being exposed as a lier, has commoners manning their muskets and ready to take the country back from the corrupt power mongers whom we have let drive this great nation into the dirt.

  6. Jim says:

Yes, he is our King George. And, if I remember my world history correctly, He was booted out of the Republic in shame.

  7. Moni says:

Hmmm…IDK the revolution might be a 3rd party. I’m registered republican and have always voted republican b/c I don’t like what the liberals stand for, but I am really considering going independent. Both parties are a disappointment. I think I’m going to go Rogue like Sarah Palin. Voting for McCain the last year was like voting for the lesser of two evils. I was afraid of what Obama would do to our country and my fears have been confirmed. I thought for sure since the guy didn’t have much experience that the country wouldn’t have voted him in, BUT I was wrong. Now he’s a presidential puppet w/Reid and Pelosi running the show.

I was behind Bush on 85% of the issues, but the other 15% immigration, bailouts, and the like, no. The fact that he turned PC rather then stand firm and talking straight to America (Like Lt. Col. Allen West does) bothered me.

I think American’s are sick of politicians period. I know I am. They all seem to be self serving instead of people serving. There is a reason for the word PUBLIC in public servant. US. Senators should represent their state to better the country, not just to better their own state, that’s what they have STATE Senators for. I wish all of congress and the senate could get tossed and we put new people in their like Lt. Col. Allen West, Scott Brown (he’s going thank goodness) and civil minded democrats and independents, not just two party.

  8. Joy Hansel says:

Kelli, wonderfully written! Stefani, I agree, this has been an awakening and boy did we need one!!! The choice is now ours. And Larry you sure did sum up my discontent with Bush and I liked Bush….but No Child Left Behind sure dumbed down further our education.

Now, to sum of the other comments…we MUST intensify our voices and rights.

  9. Sarah says:

It is we the people that need to stand up for what we believe in. Our trust in the Government has been misplaced for a very, very, long time now. We MUST stand and let our voices be heard. We have to wake up those majority of people that continue to be a working part of the machine that will end up killing us all! Our president is supposed to lead us for the better not into the worse! We need to realize that this article hits the nail on the head and it is those taxes that are enslaving us. If not many of you know about the Social Security Number system I would urge you to do so. We have been born into a greater slavery then we have ever known. Mind you that even after Hamilton died there were many presidents after him that never cared about throwing out the FEDS. A death bed confession that no one took to heart or had the heart to care about the people that they were leading. Only the money they were getting out of it, to stay out of it! I have lost all hope in this Obama guy!

  10. chuck says:

Bush was just as bad, Brown is a lib. And I’m voting third party unless the republicans put up a guy like Ron Paul!

  11. lisa agee says:

Hear Hear…….I feel we need to keep trying to find a Leader that goes by the original Constitution…with modern changes that are more effective…Lisa Whitney-Agee…..

  12. brian says:

    AMEN CHUCK!! Ron Paul 2012!!

Lisa, Ron Paul is a Constitutionalist, but I do agree with the “modern changes that are more effective” part!!!

King George Obama and the Health Care Tories
(A Call to Arms, Legs, Heads, and Hearts)
    By Thomas Paign

The President and his loyalists in the Congress are trying to force a new threat to our Liberty upon us. Universal Health Care is being sold as progressive, high minded, and beneficial to all. However, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. While I do believe that some of the loyalists have good, but misguided intentions; the real goal of King George Obama and his Tory leadership is simple, yet hidden from view. Their real goal is to create a new bureaucracy to reward and employ their minions, and to ensure their total control of the government for as long as we can foresee.

Does King George Obama really care about the little people? The disenfranchised? Those without adequate health care? A look at recent political events in his home state of Illinois offers clues to the answer. The State of Illinois cannot pay its own bills, however it recently passed an enormous Capital Spending bill which relies upon borrowing even more money and legalizing video poker to finance the Capital Bill’s obligations. The State of Illinois cannot pay its own bills, yet the Capital Bill is loaded with lavish rewards for politically connected organizations. The State of Illinois cannot pay its own bills, yet the Capital Bill is not limited solely to needed infrastructure items like road repairs and school construction. This is Chicago Politics as usual, and as usual, the little people, along with the rest of the citizens of Illinois, are being led down the road to hell.

Who will be dumping their income into the video poker machines, across the State of Illinois, to pay for this mess? Those that can least afford it. Those that are presently buying groceries with food stamps. Those that rely upon their political slave masters for their subsistence and shelter. The Illinois politicians fully understand and are relying upon this. Do you really think that the politicians truly care about the little people, the disenfranchised, and those without health care? Or are these voters simply a means for attaining power, luxury, and position?

The same people who want government controlled health care are also proclaiming “the age of small, limited government is over!” They say this as if it were universally agreed to. They say this to justify their desire to feed and grow the leviathan known as the United States Government.

This is our call to arms, legs, heads and hearts. Our arms must make and carry signs, wherever and whenever we can, to interrupt their staged events and town hall meetings. Our legs must support us as we stand up for our rights as individuals. Our legs must carry us to wherever the Health Care Tories appear, as they try to sell their ambitions to the masses. Our heads must be clear and focused upon the defeat of their efforts. Our voices and letters must convey the danger that King George Obama’s agenda represents. Our hearts must guide us with courage, love for liberty, and the respect for all of those that fought similar battles for freedom before ours.
