Anwar al-Awlaki has committed treason. I believe they use to hang people for that. Are we at war with the terroists or not? Do we intend to win or not?
But even a better question would be, “would al-Awalki intend to kill US(A) if he has the chance?”

Anwar al-Awlaki incites or at least tries to incite suicide bombings, which he calls “martyrdom operations”. Since he regards such martyrdom as good enough for his followers, I have no objection to killing Anwar al-Awlaki himself at the earliest available opportunity. If he is found among al-Qa’ida personnel, all the better. They die too.
