Seriously, liberals run in fear from this woman. Love. It.
I have avoided really writing about Sarah Palin, or in this case, letting my personal opinion be made known, but it’s time. Yeah, it’s time to get this off my chest. Have a seat, grab a coffee, and allow me to vent.
I have pre-ordered her book, Going Rogue: An American Life, from Newsmax, but it has yet to arrive to House Borsch. So I have no knowledge, save for what has been twisted, misquoted, and childishly attacked by the liberal-puppet media, (To include their unwashed, unemployed, college student emotionally-driven anti-American leftist kool-aid drinking bloggers), as to the full contents of her book. I won’t lie and tell you I am not looking forward to finally being able to read it for myself. I think her story is one that all Americans need to hear, once and for all. It is time to put the lies, innuendos, half-truths, and distortions to rest.
Now, again, please let me say that I am no fan of the current GOP as it is today. I know Sarah is part of the GOP, albeit she isn’t exactly a “cookie-cutter Republican”. She represents an old-school style of Republicanism that harkens back to the days of one of the greatest Presidents we have ever had, the Mr. Ronald Wilson Reagan. It is there, at that apex of “political history”, that I would meet with Sarah Palin.
What is it about this woman that electrifies America? What is it about this woman that causes liberals to behave like the uncultured and uncouth reprobates that they are, frothing at the mouth at the merest whisper of her name, and stammering like Porky Pig attempting a tongue-twister while drunk.
Truth be told, I wouldn’t have given Sarah Palin a second thought if it had not been for the liberal media mouthpieces and their vilifying of, and whining about, this amazing woman. Seriously. If the liberal media would have simply kept their cool and not acted like children on a playground, I would not be writing this opinion piece. So, you can thank yourselves- MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, etc, etc- for bringing this Conservative Independent third-party advocate closer to the GOP due to your hatred and fear of this woman from Alaska. Has it not dawned on you chowder-heads that by hating her so much, you have only served to let Conservatives know whom it is you fear the most? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Now look at where your knee-jerk emotionalism has gotten you to. But enough about you limp-wristed miscreants. Let’s talk about Sarah!
Normally I would refer to a woman as “chick”, (It’s true. I have no PC in me, sorry.), but this seems out-of-place with Sarah Palin. She is a true lady, a strong woman, a sure-footed fighter who can more than hold her own against any man. I admire this about her, to be sure. McCain blew it with her. She was the biggest reason so many people even voted for him; she was the one breath of fresh air in his otherwise dusty and congested campaign. I say this with the ability to look back with 20/20 vision. Like I said, at the time I really had no reason to give her my attention. It was all about McCain, not Palin. I wonder if he wouldn’t have treated her like a footnote, if I would have paid closer attention to her? Hm. Something to consider. However, she definitely has my attention now, to be sure.
So where to really begin with Sarah Palin? My knowledge of her was limited to only that which I had read or heard. I vaguely remember her debate with Biden during the campaign, and of course how the media did their magic to make her look like a complete idiot. And then there were the numerous SNL sketches in which she was portrayed as a hayseed beauty pageant-minded wannabe with no depth. After the election was over, I kept up with Sarah through the media and their relentless pursuit to destroy her character, her family, and her credibility as a Governor. We all remember the stories and the vitriolic attacks.
I remember when she resigned as Governor of Alaska, and the very poignant speech she gave that day. I saw a woman who did what was best for her State, and to hell with what the media would say. I knew, right then, that this woman was not going to go away anytime soon. Much speculation went into her real motives, from all media outlets. Was she a quitter? Was this some shrewd political maneuvering from an amazingly keen political mind? Would she disappear off the radar and simply become a circuit-speaker, getting paid enough so that she could pay-off the debts accrued from all the ridiculous lawsuits leveled against her by lawyers in Alaska when she was Governor? Or would she just stay home, bake cookies for her family, and take care of her Trig? No one really knew what was going on inside Sarah Palin’s mind. But we were all dying to know.
Now Sarah Palin is back in the public eye. Her book is a bestseller. She is lighting up the interview circuit and righting all the wrongs done to her during the campaign. Well, not all the wrongs. If I were her I would savage the mainstream media for their lack of objectivity, their attacks on my family, and their obviously blatant support of Obama as their Chosen One. But she has more class than that.
She went onto Oprah and hit a home run. She has spoken with Rush Limbaugh on his radio show. She has been on FOX News and Hannity and O’Reilly. I’m sure she has been on more shows, but I don’t have the kind of time to watch them all. She has done book signings. She is all over the place. She has the attention of all of us. She is definitely back and looking better than ever. She is answering questions, making waves, and setting things straight. Her charisma and confidence stymie her detractors and embolden her supporters. This lady is dynamite, and rightly feared by the liberals.
Sarah Palin is what Hillary Clinton wishes she could be. Sarah Palin is what every liberal woman wishes they could be. And they hate her for it. Not just hate her, they revile her for it, they resent her, they detest her, they…covet her. These liberal hags are so jealous of Sarah that they cry themselves to sleep each night while listening to Madonna. Sarah Palin makes it evident that Conservative, pro-life, pro-gun, and Christian women are hot, gorgeous, and beautiful, inside and out. Sarah Palin epitomizes what true womanhood and femininity are. Liberal women hate that.
Today is Thursday 19 Nov 2009. If you asked me right now if I would vote for Sarah Palin if she ran for any federal office, save for the Presidency, I would say ‘Yes’. If you were to ask me if I would vote for her if she ran for President, I would say ‘Not Yet’. Don’t get me wrong, I like this woman. She is, to me, the best non-politician politician out there. She has faith, common-sense, character, charisma, and such a guileless way about her. But I don’t know if she is Presidential material as of yet.
I have said to other bloggers that I would vote for a Palin/Keyes team-up no problem. And I would, I really would. But not yet. I’m not 100% convinced she would be the best choice as President. I’m still watching her and I still need to read her book before I make any such statement. Maybe she would serve better as a Vice-President, and then run for President after she has that experience under her belt, like Bush did under Reagan. Right now I’m thinking out loud more than anything.
Sarah Palin is a dangerous, dangerous woman to more than just liberalism. She is also challenging the “business as usual” garbage that dominates DC, by showing the real people of America that good politics is not what we need. No, we need good government, and good government does not equal good politics. Sarah Palin scares the GOP as she threatens their moderate mediocrities. Looking back, I wonder how she had the stomach to even stand near John McCain.
I am hopeful for Sarah Palin’s future. I believe she is going to shake-up America moreso than she has done so far. I think she is a person of relevance, and she warrants our watching. She is a woman who is showing America that it’s okay to be a normal, hard-working, everyday, common-sense American. It is her simplicity that makes her extraordinary.
It is her simplicity that one day will possibly lead America. I’m not 100% sold-out to Sarah Palin, but the thought of her being possibly our President one day…hm… doesn’t really make me sad at all.

Good article. Palin’s problem in the previous election was she was behind McCain instead of in front of him. Being a non-politician politician is a good thing. Common sense is a good thing. As for experience– Any politician from either party — their “experience” is not a plus in my mind, because it is mostly bad. She cleaned up Alaska with even less experience than she has now and she could do the same for America. But she does need the help of the citizens of the U S. If we could get her in and get incumbents of congress out, regardless of their party, our country may stand a chance. You don’t know it she is presidential material yet? Can you name me one person on the scene that is of better material? The characteristics that you attribute to her stand her in better stead than anyone else you could name.

David,
Don’t get me wrong- I respect Sarah quite a bit. My reticence in being 100% sure of voting for her is not meant as a slam on her. Far from it. I think she’s amazing.
I simply want to see more of her mindset in regards to Presidential issues, ie, Foreign Affairs, the military, and how she would handle Congress. After I get her intentions about such things, I will revisit my stance on Sarah Palin and make a decision then.
Having said that, do I think she would be a bad President or Vice-President? Based on what I’ve seen so far, I would say NO. But I haven’t heard her address the meaty portion of being President as of yet.
Time will tell. The Sarah Palin Effect has just really started for me, and I will be watching it with hope and with true Conservative eyes.
Long Live the Republic, indeed.
