Oh, really now?

Apparently officials at Ft. Bragg do not want Palin to inspire or motivate her followers, because this would only serve to inflame anti-Obama sentiment.  Can you say cowards?  I knew you could.  And why would the US Army care about a free and private citizen making a speech, on American soil, in a Free America?

You guys are showing your weakness again.  Free Speech is not okay if it will hurt Obama’s feelings.  I guess that means I will need to stop blogging and talking and posting anything any longer.  It’s more important to boost the ego of the POTUS than it is to defend America from his poor and inept leadership.  Go figure.  However, notice Sarah’s class and grace in agreeing to do as she has been asked.  Integrity like hers is a treasure in today’s “political” world.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin promises to limit her enthusiasm during her visit to North Carolina’s Fort Bragg.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate planned to sign copies of her new memoir at a post store Monday. Army officials say Palin will not make a speech, pose for photos, or personalize notes in the books she signs.

The Army worried Palin’s appearance would prompt political grandstanding against President Barack Obama.  (And we don’t want that, now do we?) That fear initially led post commanders to keep news organizations from covering Palin’s appearance, though the restrictions were later dropped.

Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum tells WTVD-TV that sales of Palin’s book at the post store have been weak so far.  (Apparently her book being a bestseller before it was even published isn’t possible in Ft. Bragg.  Puh-leez.)
