Demacrats hae a plan to sneak in the public option

If you think that the omission of the Public Option from the Baucus, or the final senate bill in general, will kill the public option…think again.  The democrats have a plan in place that will be hard to combat if it gets far enough.  It does not matter what is in the Senate’s final bill, as the House plans on having the Public Option in theirs.  Because of this, a government controlled public option is still very much alive, even if it dies in the senate.

A progressive liberal author recently posted an article at the Huffington Post that explains their strategy.  It all rest with the Conference Committee, and with the democrats controlling both the House and Senate, one guess who will control the Conference Committee?

Read the article below.  You have been warned!

Conference Committee Counts This Time

Exactly right. This is what I was talking about earlier in regard to obsessing over minor details of a bill in one committee. After senate finance reports – then the real sausage is made, and 4 of the 5 committees have more liberal versions than the senate finance committee. Interestingly though, all the house bills are cheaper than the senate bills, so, I think the like can be held on cost. How $$$ is raised to pay for the plan will be a major issue though. The Senate and House are miles apart here.

And exactly why we don’t need health care reform from arrogant and self serving congressmen and this President.

  3. I’m all for a Public Option, but ONLY under this ONE condition:

If you opt for it, you are taxed for it. If you do not opt for it, you are not taxed for it.

I have much more to say on this issue, but for now I will leave it at that simplistic comment. Consider it my, “Put your money where your mouth is” mentality coming into play. I don’t want it, so don’t tax me, bro.
