Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) warned Americans that “Republicans want you to die quickly” during an after-hours House floor speech Tuesday night. His remarks, which drew angry and immediate calls for an apology from Republicans, were highlighted by a sign reading “The Republican Health Care Plan: Die Quickly.” (From FoxNation)

If Grayson’s plan was to spark outrage and get people talking, then score one for Grayson. But if the plan was to be taken seriously then this is, as the children say, an epic fail. And speaking of children, Representative Grayson’s claims are outlandish and childish. Did Grayson actually expect Americans to believe that Republicans were holding up blank pieces of paper in response to Obama’s speech? Or is it more likely that he thinks this fits in well with his bogus claims and that it adds a bit of humor to his presentation? Republicans need not brandish blank papers in an attempt to fool us into thinking they’ve got a plan. Their plan is and has been posted at www.GOP.gov. More specifically, the details are here. In the interest of integrity, PIN is more than happy to address actual differences in opinion regarding a Republican plan, but Grayson has failed to bring any to light. Instead he has taken the typical liberal approach: when you don’t have a rebuttal, make a false claim and repeat it a few times to make it stick.
PIN takes pride in noting that Rep. Grayson is the only Democrat who has yet to be singled out on Political Integrity Now for taking actions to better our country. We did a story on his proposal for teaching the Constitution to America’s high school seniors. PIN still supports his efforts and will continue to advertise them. However we cannot sit idly by as he makes such irresponsible and inherently false statements on the House floor. Alan Grayson behaved in a juvenile manner in making his “Die Quickly” presentation September 29, 2009. Americans deserve better.

I agree with you, Grayson has mischaracterized the Republican “plan”, an accurate description would be “lets start over”. In their “plan” the Republicans also offer some bullet points to help guide the discussion.
This is NOT a plan at all.
Grayson was called on to apologize. He did so here: http://politicalwire.com/archives/2009/09/30/graysons_apology.html
