Huffington Post uses Glenn Beck to attract readers

Huffington Post uses Glenn Beck to attract readers

The left-wing media never ceases to amaze me.  An article written by D. Brad Wright of the Huffington Post, titled “Glenn Beck doesn’t care about “those People”", is used exclusively for the purpose of drawing readers to his article.  In fact, Mr. Wright’s first paragraph states “Okay, so this article isn’t actually about Glenn Beck directly. That’s a social science experiment to see how many readers it brings in.”

In fact, Mr. Wright doesn’t even mention Beck in the article, with exception to the introduction.

The Huffington Post, while a very successful establishment in it’s own right, vaguely touched the ACORN investigation and Van Jones controversy, and continues to describe Glenn Beck as a racist.  Ironically, it is now using false lines and Glenn Becks name to draw attention.

The hypocrisy of the left-wing media knows no bounds!

Let’s be clear, that that was entirely of my own doing–not the Huffington Post. If you want to take issue with my little experiment, feel free, but don’t put that on them. And stay tuned, I’m sure the headline “Free Nude Women” will bring in even more people than the mention of Beck.

    Chet:
Since I recently took you to task for your own misleading headline – I would be very very interested to know what YOU think the headline on Mr. Wright’s article should be. Incidentally, I agree with you that Mr. Wright’s headline is misleading. I think he is cleverly attempting make the case that illegal immigrants SHOULD be covered as part of our national health care reform. He is drawing an emotional contrast between the “Evil Mr. Beck, who doesn’t care about ‘those people’ ” and the “outraged yet enlightened reader – who of course cares”. Click through to the Newsweek article to see the argument if you are interested.

    Judith,

I couldn’t agree with you more, so I hope you are referencing the writer of the Huffington Post article and not PIN. Remember, this section is to inform the readers of what “the other side” is saying.

    Keep up the good fight!
