President Obama and other Democrats have gone on the record saying that you will not be taxed if you do not purchase health insurance. Obama engaged in a debate with Geroge Stephanopoulos on the issue, in which Obama was obviously taken back when George brought up the definition of the word Tax.
Republicans, on the other hand, claim that the proposal includes a tax for those who do not purchase an acceptable form of health care coverage.
So who is telling the truth and who’s nose is growing?
According to Politifact.com…the Republicans are not made of wood.
Democratic plans include the mandate, which is a tax penalty on those who don’t have insurance. The RNC called it “a tax for not having health insurance,” and there’s no doubt that it is a form of tax. There are provisions for those who face hardship, but absent special circumstances, everyone will have to have coverage. We rate the RNC’s statement True.
Does it come to anyone’s surprise that the Democrats want to impose more taxes on Americans?
Is Jimmy Cricket still available?

I really hope that the health care plan backed by The House does not go through until it is clearly thought through. A decision as big as this one deserves as much attention as we can give it.
