After the two undercover investigators caught ACORN employees attempting to assist a prostitute and her pimp in tax fraud and defrauding the ACORN housing program, the Census Bureau sent a letter to the ACORN national headquarters, Congress, and relevant committees stating it was cutting all ties with ACORN. Census preliminary low-level work will no longer be handled by ACORN employees.
