Back in February 2009, when Rick Santelli made his now famous rant, with regard to all the spending and government bailouts that President Obama was pushing, I doubt he knew that some of his words would inspire the nations silent majority to be silent no more.
“Are you listening, President Obama?…Take it to the streets, people. The silent majority needs to be heard…We are thinking of having a Chicago TEA Party in July, all you capitalist….I’m going to start organizing it!”
Six months later, the TEA Party movement continues to gain momentum as more and more concerned American citizens take part in a national movement of historic proportions. On August 22, millions of patriotic Americans gathered at more than 1,000 congressional offices to continue fighting for America’s future.
